gpxviewer software package provides views GPS traces collected in the GPX format, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gpxviewer
gpxviewer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gpxviewer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gpxviewer *
You will get with gpxviewer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
